SKY-AID is a portable telemedicine solution equipped with satellite connectivity, designed to provide instant medical communication and life-saving support in disaster-hit and connectivity-lost regions. To ensure international-level quality, performance, and reliability before market launch, SKY-AID underwent a comprehensive testing and evaluation campaign during September–October 2025. The device was assessed under simulated real-world emergency and field conditions to evaluate connectivity, functionality, and user experience. During testing, the SUPARCO Ka Band Portable HTS Terminal demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving a setup and operational time of less than four minutes. The terminal successfully locked onto forward and return links at SNR levels of 8.5 dB and 17 dB respectively, while the CIR remained consistently stable at 8.5 Mbps on the forward link and 50 Mbps on the return link. These results confirm that the real-time consultation satellite device delivers strong, uninterrupted communication required for remote healthcare operations.
This rigorous testing process validated that SKY-AID meets international standards and aligns with customer expectations by offering reliable, efficient, and consistent performance across diverse and challenging operating environments. The solution ensures dependable medical support in remote areas, disaster zones, and during emergency response operations, reinforcing its role as a critical tool in satellite-powered telemedicine.
